TomTom Go 720 Review

I have been using my TomTom Go 720 navigator for some months now. It wasn´t the cheapest navigator, but what can you do when you like gadgets - the basic version of any gadget or technical advice is not just enough.

The average driver that just needs navigation help doesn´t need anything this fancy and something cheaper is propably a good choise. For more info and a full review of this TomTom I suggest you read this TomTom 720 review.

I think Tom Tom’s are great. I was bought one for my birthday several years ago and have found it invaluable. They tend to be slightly more reliable when navigating than other sat navs I’ve used. It’s easy to assume that all sat navs are the same, but I’m sure my Tom Tom takes me on a better route than cheaper sat navs I’ve used with friends.

One thing you might not realise though, is that there is a reset switch on the bottom of the sat nav which will restore factory default settings. I found on one occasion that my battery went completely flat and the sat nav just wouldn’t turn on. I called the Tom Tom support line and they told me about the reset switch which can be found by sticking a pin into a hole where the main unit connects to the windscreen. Pressing down for 10 seconds resets the sat nav, and it was working again, much to my relief.
